Three Days in Singapore

Three Days in Singapore

I spent three days in Singapore exploring the city and managed to cram in everything I wanted to see with just enough time to spare.

Singapore is a beautiful city; it gave me a strong sense of feeling at home. It’s a bit of a mix and combination of Sydney & London. Although, Singapore is significantly cleaner!

The city itself is relatively small and everything is walkable. Public transport is also widely available by using the MRT trains. However, having been biking around most of SE Asia we decided to walk whilst we could!

Honestly, Three Days in Singapore is not enough time!

Where To Stay In Singapore?

Go With Gabbs Three Days In Singapore

Location wise, Singapore is quite small and everything is easily accessible. However, for your first visit, I would suggest staying close to Boat Quay or Clarke Quay. That way, everything is central to you and accessible by foot.

Day One in Singapore

Go With Gabbs Three Days in Singapore

The Gardens By The Bay

Get up bright and early and go explore the incredible Gardens By The Bay. For all information and answers to your questions, head over to my Go With Gabbs Gardens By The Bay blog. Visit the cloud dome, flower dome and Supertree Grove for stunning botanical sights.

After the botanical gardens, you will want to take the short walk around to the Singapore Art Science Museum.

Marina Bay Sands Three Days in Singapore

Marina Bay Sands

The famous Marina Bay Sands Hotel and huge shopping centre (The one with the boat on top and featured in the film Crazy Rich Asians). It

is a great place to head up in the evening to get a great view of the Gardens light show or a cheeky (but very expensive) cocktail. You can also sneak up into the rooftop guest-only areas by making use of their unmanned wrap-around balconies that link the two areas together. Walk with confidence and you will walk straight on past.

Clarke Quays

The nightlife centre of Singapore. Head to Clarke quays for all the best bars, restaurants, nightclubs and more to finish of your day one of Three days in Singapore. Make sure to check out Ladies Night in Singapore for all the best free night out in SE Asia.
Don’t miss the colourful rainbow police building located just behind Clarke quays for a famous picture point within Singapore.

Day Two In Singapore

Sultan Mosque: Kampong Glam Heritage Trail

The stunning Masjid Sultan, as it is also known, is a prominent mosque in Singapore and one of the country’s most impressive religious buildings. It’s a stunning starting point in Kampong Glam and allows you to get your bearing around the area.

Haji Lane Singapore

Haji Lane

Singapore’s Haji Lane can be found within the Kampong Glam area of Singapore. Also, casually known as the Arab Quarters. It’s home to some of the best tourist and sightseeing spots in Singapore.

The street art down this lane is also insane. The art across all coffee shops, restaurants and market doorways make for some great photo spots. Grab a coffee and look at something new every turn your head makes.

Haji Lane is a shopaholics tipping point. It’s full of independent shops sporting the cutest accessories and clothes. Having been travelling for 5 months, my will power down this lane was tested. Safe to say, my restraint failed and I purchased a pair of sunnies. I didn’t have any at this point so I feel it was a justified purchase.

Little India

Walk the 10-minute stroll to Little India Singapore. Here you can hunt down the likes of Clive Street, Dunlop Street, Hindoo Road and Tan Teng Nia for the most colourful houses and architecture in Singapore.

Raffles Hotel Three Days in Singapore

Raffles Hotel Singapore

The Hotel is renowned for the Singapore Sling cocktail. Head on up to the bar in the Raffles Hotel and experience the best Singapore Sling you will ever have in the centre of Singapore. Admire the beautiful white architecture and design of the building standing vastly different from its surroundings.

Bugis Market / Singapore Hawkers Centre

Hungry yet after your day two of three days in Singapore? Head the Hawkers markets or Bugis Market for the best and cheapest street food in Singapore! Prepare to debate what menu choices to have for at least 20 minutes, but make sure to grab a table quickly when one comes free!

Day Three in Singapore

At this rate, if you have been following my three days in Singapore plan religiously, you will be feeling it on your feet! Day three is a day to stroll and take in the options of what you could do:

Fort Canning Park

find the swirling staircase, perch on a bench or grab a blanket and enjoy reading a good book in the sun under the sun. This park is a beautiful way to spend the day and can be accessed just behind Clarke Quays.

Boat Quays

Enjoy walking around the small harbour, appreciating the many statues and art exhibitions around the bay. Take a picture with the rainbow bridge and hang around for your choice of many Chinese, Indian and other Asian cuisines on the right-hand side of the harbour.

China Town / Club Street

A final option, home to the best Chinese restaurants and the ex-pats drinking street. Head to club street for your wine bars, tapas and ex-pats hangout spots.

It’s a lot to pack into three days, but it’s doable and gives you a crash course in all things Singapore! If you cant get it all done, it gives you a perfect excuse to come back and explore Singapore some more.
