PHILIPPINES

The only way I can describe the Philippines is paradise. A country made up of hundreds of islands, it can become a little overwhelming when you look at a Philippines map and have to make the decision of where to go…

Go With Gabbs to The Philippines and follow in my Island hopping footsteps:

Each island has beautiful beaches and tropical palm tree’s, that’s a given. However, it’s the individual extra’s which make it hard to choose. My advice is to start in the Philippines capital Manilla and fly out from there.

First up, the Island of Palawan. Probably best known for the town of El Nido and its famous boat tours.  Sail around El Nido to see the likes of the Twin Lakes, Blue Lagoons, secret beaches, swimming coves and snorkelling.

Cebu

Take the boat from El Nido to Coron Palawan for more amazing bout tours. This time exploring WW2 shipwrecks, swimming Kayangan Lake & Barracuda Lake. Take a dip in the Maquinit hot springs and learn to scuba dive.

Fly with Cebu Pacific to Cebu City and travel down to the coast of Cebu Island. Down to Oslob, whale sharks swim the coastline here and you can swim with them. Then explore the islands breathtaking waterfalls, floating in the bluest water you have ever seen.

Head up to Moalboal and swim with thousands of sardines or go canyoneering at Kawasan Falls.

Discover lesser-known islands like Siargao. Siargao Island is my favourite Philippines Island and is the home for surfing at cloud 9. The ultimate Island life living with coconuts and sun-kissed skin.
