Welcome to Go With Gabbs!
It’s been nearly five years since I created this blog, initially, it was created to document my backpacking travels across South East Asia and the following tales of the end destination, Australia!
In this blog, you will find the best of a backpacker budget friendly travel itinerary for South East Asia and local inside knowledge of living in Sydney and travelling Australia. Luckily, I managed to travel to the stunning tropical Queensland and the vast Western Australia, despite a global pandemic!
Previous more glamorous blogging locations have been the idyllic cafes of Bali, Thailand and other exciting countries. Less glamourous places have consisted of a 4 bed dorm in the ass end middle of nowhere, in Queensland Australia. All whilst slowly, earning my 88 days for my second year Australian visa.
Go With Gabbs is a travel blog following my adventures. Featuring recommendations on where to go, the best food, places to stay, secret spots and must-see sights.
At the same time, I’m trying to be completely realistic and honest about what’s achievable on a budget. This blog has grown up with me over the years, and where adult life and being close to 30 has meant my budget and what is achievable has changed, I will always be a bargain girl that can boujee up once in a while. Especially in Sydney, this city is expensive!
I want you to leave my blog feeling like you could easily do this too. From weekend city breaks to long-term travel and backpacking adventures.
